At Imperium, we believe one of the most important components to achieving financial success is making sure there is a good fit between the client and the firm. It is important that the fit works both ways. We want to make sure that we are a fit for you and you are a fit for us. Here, we try to detail some of the common themes that have resonance in our family of clients:

They are Financial Delegators

Our clients have hired us to help them make the smartest choices on how to manage their assets and direct the traffic of cash flow with their income. They realize that they are paying for this service, which is not inexpensive, so we can add a greater level of value in their financial results. Clients that want to collaborate in coming up with compromised solutions or those that want to completely abdicate their finances to us are likely not a good fit. We believe an informed mind does not panic in shaky economic situations.

They Take the Advice

Why pay for something that you aren’t going to use? Our clients realize that it’s pointless to pay for advice, but not follow it. This type of situation usually results in a mess of collaborated decisions where some actions are taken, while others not, making it impossible to determine what went wrong or how you got there. Although we have no problem cleaning up financial binds, it becomes an unsustainable situation when they are self-inflicted over and over again.

They Want a Wholistic Approach

Our clients want a solution where the whole is greater than the sum of the individual parts. They understand how imperative it is to share the entire picture with us and generally entrust us with managing all of their assets. By having the whole picture, we can give the best advice, and by working with all the assets, we can maximize capital efficiency and effectiveness. Think of it as going to the doctor: You wouldn’t say to your physician that they can only see some of your bloodwork but not all of it.

They are Comfortable with Our Fee Structure

At Imperium, we believe that cost is only an issue in the absence of value. Our single, simple fee is all about serving our clients’ best interests and financial needs. Our community of clients is comfortable with our fee schedule because they see the value that we provide in exchange. Our fee schedule ranges from 0.45%–1.15%, scaling down based on the amount of assets we are managing. Our wealth management clients are on a wrap basis, where we absorb all other incidental fees and the personal tax return is included, complimentary. For all other tax services, we provide a healthy discount to our clients. We feel that our services are most appropriate for families with over $750,000 in investible assets or making over $250,000 annually in combined income.  For clients that do not have $750,000 in investible assets yet, but have the income and desire to reach financial independence, we do have a minimum subscription fee option available to help you chart the course to reach that objective.
